Does the plugin replace wp_mail()?+
When a mailbox is connected, the plugin intercepts wp_mail() and sends compatible WordPress and WooCommerce messages through MailBridgeAPI. Disconnecting returns WordPress to its previous mail transport.
Are SMTP and IMAP passwords stored in WordPress?+
No. Mailbox credentials are managed in MailBridgeAPI. The plugin stores the API credentials required for the selected mailbox in encrypted form and never stores the dashboard password.
Can one WordPress site see every mailbox in an agency account?+
Authorized mailboxes are visible only during the protected selection step. After one mailbox is connected, the selection is locked and other mailboxes are no longer displayed until an administrator disconnects.
What is kept in the local delivery log?+
The plugin records delivery metadata such as recipient, subject, status, provider response, message ID and date. It does not keep the message body or attachments in that log.
Does installing the plugin automatically enable AI replies?+
No. AI reply and external integration features belong to the MailBridgeAPI platform and require separate mailbox configuration in the dashboard. The WordPress plugin focuses on secure outgoing delivery, logs, statistics and diagnostics.
